The Way of Mindful Intelligence I

The Way of Mindful Intelligence is a deeper form of wisdom and enlightenment natural to us all. It is a capacity folded into our genes, our hearts, and our minds. Through the insights, tools, and techniques offered in this program, and on this Way of being, we aspire to open our inborn capacities. It is our capacity as human beings- as developmental beings to move toward greater wisdom in our ways of seeing and in our actions. Our journey on this Way toward a more holistic being is mobilizing and developing resources we already have- starting from where we already are…. exploring possibilities for healing and inquiry.

Our most important capacity on this Way is paying attention especially in areas where we have been ignoring- examining and working with our conditioning  & habituation- and it is this capacity that refines our awareness for a clearer examination of how things are, and how things work- intimately and directly, with mind (heart), and body. When properly cultivated, such mindful awareness can discern, embrace, transcend and free us from the veils and limitations of our habitual thought patterns, senses, relationships, and from the frequently turbulent and destructive mind states and emotions that accompany them. These are conditioned routines, repetitive impulses, and ingrained forces of habit that narrow our view, our outlook, and distort our understanding- and if unattended, mitigate our capacity for growing and healing.

A Way of Mindful Intelligence helps us to tap into the hidden dimensions of the knower, the mind, and new degrees of freedom for all to aspire. This is not a path for a select few but for all to embark, with the right intention and motivation to awaken to what is already contained within us. It is a lifetime engagement and practice for awakening to be sustained- and to remain awake to a life in the present moment- one cannot mindfully attend being asleep at the wheel. In this Way, your life depends upon your capacity to pay attention.

It is through this careful attending and examination that we realize Mindful Intelligence transforms not only our own being, but the collective being- and the collective consciousness of all sentient beings. It is this wisdom that brings us peace, serenity, and comfort from all the world’s spasms of insanity and confusion. We learn not to repress or suppress, but to engage intentionally and to examine clearly without assumption, bias, or judgment.

We inhabit our consciousness and expand our self-awareness to not only better know ourselves, but to realize a more gracious understanding of others. For the form and energy of mind and heart of one is a shared resonance of many- and of all as an interconnected species. These are truly turbulent times riddled with so much confusion and uncertainty. States of mind and body are under constant attack from incessant over-stimulation. Without awakening, the general health and well-being of our organism will continue to be depleted as we remain further separated form our natural ability to maintain and restore inner measure. And subsequently, we will continue to be more reliant on the suppressant and counter-active treatments offered by pharmacology.
