Group Meditation @ “Occupy WallStreet”

People are mobilizing in and around Wall Street to show their solidarity for the growing unrest of perceived inequality; the lack of accountability for the very few (1%) in America; as well as the lack of access to a truly representative government. Even with all the frustration, anger, and passion swelling among the protestors, there still exists the opportunity to bring peaceful energy and support to this grassroots effort– a movement in the making called “Occupy Wall Street“.
Upon reflection, we need to ask ourselves whether we can bring clarity to understand this “movement”… whether we agree or disagree with it substantively? Is it more than just an airing of grievances by people frustrated by the economy and by the lack of government responsiveness to inequality among the many who struggle to have a “voice”? How do we skillfully listen and respond to this movement that is beginning to articulate a more unified message- and that runs deeply among people from many different backgrounds?
Here in the video stream provided below is a “flashmob” of meditators- another quiet side of this seemingly social movement where people have gathered to simply “sit” down together to practice in a place of protest…
