‘Mind Clutter.’

by meditative - July 13th, 2015

We are habitually preoccupied and often entertained with our ‘mind clutter’- streaming discursive thought patterns about our perceived world. Caught up in our perpetually unfolding ‘storylines’, we are often reflexively confused and impulsively reactive- hardly reflective and responsive.

The simple mindfulness practice of paying careful attention to our breath and the present moment takes us away from ourselves- the self-focus on our discursive minds… and opens space for clarity and more skillful & appropriate ways to respond.
