Practice: “Fresh Eyes”- The Art of Noticing

A “beginner’s mind” and seeing with “fresh eyes” is integral to the art of noticing. There are many formal and informal ways we can practice to cultivate this skill- and to help tune our present moment awareness into seeing our direct experience with renewed and curious perspective.
Allow yourself here and now a few minutes in stillness to take in this “Fall Mountain” scene repeatedly and fully with “fresh eyes”- and seeing what you notice with each viewing. Take 30-60 seconds in-between each viewing, with a simple focus on the breath. Expand this short video clip to the expanse of your computer screen to allow for full viewing.
