‘Nonjudgmental Observation’

Gentle, nonjudgmental observation is a practice that helps us to recognize and better understand the nature of our innate tendencies to ‘hold on’- and to attach to certain thought & feeling patterns that arise from our internal responses (or reactions) to situations. It is this relaxed, balanced and abiding attention that also helps us to discover the insight & clarity to penetrate & free ourselves from the habitual ‘grip’ of our limiting cognitive & emotional patterns.
To ‘see’ our unfolding experiences from ‘center’- or from a ‘middle’ perspective- we begin to dis-identify from our ‘holding patterns’ of beliefs… and recognize with discerning awareness the possibilities & benefits of simply letting go of those thought & feeling loops that constrict our lives and leave us rigid and more susceptible to the vulnerabilities of suffering.
