Gratitude… the thankfulness for what we have in our lives… and a healthy & fulfilling antidote for our continual desires.
By regularly practicing gratitude, we can raise our level of happiness. By focusing on what is good & right about our lives, we can diffuse the energy behind what may be remotely lacking or inadequate. With gratitude, we turn our attention to honoring the gifts we have received, and dwell less in the ‘fires’ of desire for what may be absent in our lives.
The gratitude we come to practice and embody serves to nourish our lasting happiness and inner peace. As our mindful intent for gratitude rises, our desirous propensities will naturally wane in the light of our genuine thankfulness…
