Directed by Phie Ambo and produced by Danish Documentary Productions, this documentary film, “Free the Mind” made its international debut in Amsterdam this month. The film will debut in the U.S. in 2013. It chronicles the stories of war veterans and children taking part in vital brain research at the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds at the Waisman Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison.
As mentioned in earlier postings, the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds (CIHM) has provided research showing clear and measurable impact from the contemplative practices on the brain. Its director, and one of the world’s leading scientific experts, Richard Davidson Ph.D., who study the neuroplasticity of the brain is repeatedly demonstrating this organ’s inherent flexibility to adapt in response to changing experiences.
Free the Mind puts this premise to the test as it follows the experiences of three test subjects on a daring journey into the deepest recesses of the human mind. Take a few moments and view the film clip below.
