‘Bouncing Back’

Resilience is our innate ability to recover from life’s emotional ‘ups’ and ‘downs’- to ‘bounce back‘, and return to a more balanced and centered state of mind… and state of being. Cultivating resilience, taps our inner capacity to self-regulate- to self-calm- and to self-soothe when faced with challenging and stressful experiences.
Mindfulness practice helps provide us with the training and skill to ‘slow down’, ‘take notice’, ‘observe non-judgmentally’, and to discerningly recognize our stressful situations as they are arising. It is this refined capacity of awareness that enables us to better prepare ourselves for more appropriate, balanced responses… and to facilitate more reflexive & timely recoveries from life’s ‘high’ and ‘low’ events.
