Mindfully Me: ‘Inner Balance’

Life is all about balance… of mind & body… of heart & soul… of this & that… of here & there… of thought & feeling… of doing & being, etc., etc. It is attention & effort that is neither too much or too little. It is reflecting & acting with openness & kindness…
‘Inner balance’ is about relaxed awareness & alertness. It is self-control & self-regulation of energy & information that flows continuously throughout our mind & body.
‘Inner balance’ is about integration as different parts of the brain become synchronized- from left (logical) to right (intuitive)… from upper (rational/thinking) to lower (emotional/feeling)- working harmoniously & effectively with the rest of the body to perceive & process what is directly experienced moment by moment.
It is this ‘inner balance’ & integration of mind & body that helps us to respond more and react less to our life experiences. It is continued practice in our SELF-AWARENESS that helps us to refine our innate capacity for ‘inner balance’ & SELF-REGULATION… and for growing our ability to make more appropriate choices in our lives.
