Our ‘Mental Radar’… Mindfulness

Mindfulness is like a ‘mental radar’… sensitively detecting changes that require our undivided attention even before they may become apparent in the field of our conscious awareness. The more we work with our inner capacity for awareness in stillness & calm, the more refined, focused, and precise it can become at noticing even the subtlest of changes. Tuning in by tuning out distractions can enable us to become more perceptive of what we are genuinely experiencing- sensing, thinking, and/or feeling.
Watchful & patient, relaxed & alert, we can skillfully use this discerning awareness to respond more appropriately to what is actually being experienced.
