‘REMEMBER’… Why We Practice?
by meditative - January 24th, 2015.Filed under: Insights for Mindful Intelligence.
These ‘meditative moments’ are all about bringing mindfulness into our everyday lives both formally and informally. It’s about a process of inquiry, observation, and refining our inner capacity for awareness- relaxed, sustained and stabilized attention that is gentle and nonjudgmental. With this relaxed and stabilized attention, we begin to manifest an embodied form of equanimity- an even-tempered sense of being that helps us to become more skillful, flexible, and adaptive to our ever-changing situations. It is also this ‘equanimity’- this balanced ‘energy’ of practice that awakens and empowers our inner capacity for greater well-being of mind (heart) & body.
