What is more motivating- our fear of death or our fear of living? In either case, we are immobilized by our fear to openly embrace the inevitable.
“Just like me”… we see the sameness in others. It is here where there arises empathy and compassion.
When the ‘ground’ upon which we stand becomes familiar, we tend to become less fearful and more confident about what may be present even when difficult and painful.
In our practice, we cultivate this quality of awareness to discover its illuminating expansiveness to experience directly and openly whatever arises, moment by moment… while refining attention to master its precision in knowing the nature of things (events) just as they are.
