Immersed in distractions… heads buried in our “smart devices”… strangers to ourselves and to others. We communicate, but do we connect?
We have but a relatively short “pause” between the mysteries of birth and death… what we do in between should be of vital importance.
In the “beginner’s mind”, we pay attention to things as if they were actually alive with revelation about the world and our relationship to it.
We cultivate ourselves to be discretely individual, yet in reality we are closely joined as a species.
What gifts may lie beneath our vulnerabilities? Are they doorways into our hidden creativities and potentialities?
The “beginner’s mind” is captivated by the unknown and its incredible potentiality. The beginner’s mind helps us to overcome the “satisfaction treadmill” as we begin to notice & perceive the world in novel & fresh ways…
Do we let go of our smaller “story” or “narrative” to be part of a larger “story” that expands our sense of being?
What is relevant to you- for your understanding of how you are in this world? A genuine sense of being may be a form of self-actualization.
