Mindfulness can help provide us with a secular ethic to be more compassionate…
Can you awaken to the expansiveness of choice and change that is inherent to your own consciousness?
Mental training to extend our boundaries for compassion is a self-less capacity we are all capable of cultivating…
“Shift”… “feel”… and “connect”. Allow yourself to open… and to integrate your own sense of being with the world around you. This “interbeing” is the process of a compassionate being.
One of our biggest fears is that someone will discover the truth about our “pseudo-self”- the person we pretend to be.
It is recognizing our own vulnerabilities that helps us to communicate with others…
Renunciation of our self-importance moves us closer to our “true nature”. We let go of the little “self” to emerge with an integrated “SELF”.
In our practice, we are quieting the mind in order to allow its surface to settle- and for its reflective quality to clearly emerge.
One day I simply awakened from my dream and realized just how lost I was in someone else’s life.
Always wanting & waiting seems seldom fulfilled. When you start realizing the perishability of each moment, you will truly start living them.
